Inge Garafoni

Now in her 11th year at arinex, Inge’s financial, strategic and operational strengths has meant she has been responsible for managing some of our most high profile and most successful meetings for the last 11 years. At arinex she has managed more than 32 major conferences ranging from 200 to over 5,000 delegates.

Now as Executive Manager, Inge is responsible for overseeing specific projects and providing support to the Conference Organising team.

Inge's broad depth of knowledge and business management skills makes her a valuable senior manager to oversee your events.


Karine Bulger AFMEA
Executive Manager, Melbourne Operations  

Karine Bulger

Karine has over 15 years of experience in the meetings and conventions industry, 10 of which have been with arinex across multiple offices including Sydney, Los Angeles and Melbourne. During this time Karine has successfully managed multiple major international meetings ranging from 200 to 10,000 delegates. As one of the Executive Managers for arinex, Karine is known for her very "hands on" approach with clients and her particular focus on the big picture strategy during the beginning stages of planning; working with our clients to ensure a strategic roadmap is put in place to ensure the success of their event.

Karine's broad range of experience and creative approach to project management ensures arinex clients are always delighted with the results.


Sara Archer, AFMEA
Region Manager (NSW), Conference Organising

Sara is arinex most Senior Project Manager, and has been with the company for 9 years, specialising in complex scientific conferences. She has managed over 40 conferences including some award winning events such as the 4th International Congress of Skull Base Surgery and The 16th Annual V.M. Goldschmidt Conference, the IEEE 802.11 / 802.15 Interim Meetings (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) in Sydney, Singapore, Berlin, Cairns, Melbourne and Taipei.

Sara is a highly professional, supportive and innovative manager who is highly committed to ensuring every Conference she works on is the most successful in its history.


Nicole Appleby
Region Manager (VIC), Conference Organising

Nicole has worked within the conference industry ten years and brings extensive logistical and venue skills following her senior appointments within Hyatt Hotels. Nicole graduated with a Bachelor of Business in Tourism and Hospitality in Melbourne, 2000. Nicole joined the Conference Management Team in September 2006. Nicole's background has benefited many clients resulting in seamless onsite operations and the registration and onsite management of thousands of delegates. Her most recent success was the XXII International Congress of The Transplantation Society which was attended by over 4500 delegates. 

Nicole enjoys seeing a conference come to fruition and being onsite. Her strengths are organisation and logistical skills, budget management and the dedication she shows to her clients which results in lasting relationships.


Tricia Tate
Manager, Business Development and Operations (QLD)

Having started her career in the San Francisco Bay Area, Tricia has managed several multi-million dollar accounts including Compaq Computers, Network Associates, Providian Financial and eBay. Tricia, along with her wealth of advertising and marketing experience, holds not only a BA in Politics from the University of California, but also hasa Masters in Social and Cultural History along with a Masters of Philosophy in History from the University of Essex. As the Queensland State Manager, Tricia manages all of the Operations and Business Development activities for the arinex Brisbane office.

Tricia's international and academic experience allows her to approach any situation with creativity, diplomacy, and above all else, the drive to succeed!


Denisa Adamova
Project Manager

Denisa joined the arinex's Conference Management Team in February 2005. Denisa has been responsible for managing some of arinex's leading international conferences such as the 5th SETAC World Congress - The Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) which considerably exceeded all delegate, abstracts, sponsor and exhibitor targets. She is the chair of our arinex's Eco Committee.

Denisa graduated with a Bachelor of Management in Tourism from the University of Technology in Sydney, 2004. Prior to this, Denisa gained extensive event and conference management experience in Europe where she worked for a Professional Congress Organiser for four years.

Denisa is a warm and personable Project Manager whose attention to detail and wide range of experience will ensure that your Conference will be a fantastic success.


Edwina Stevens
Project Manager

Edwina joined arinex in 2004.  She has a wealth of expertise; managing the intricate and challenging operations of a conference team department - her operational specialities include governmental protocol, scientific programs, keynote speakers, audio visual and onsite operations, developing strong relationships with her clients.

Edwina was a key component in arinex management of the high profile G-20 Ministerial Meeting in Melbourne 2006, which was the recent state winner of Meeting of the Year, under 500 delegates. Edwina also has extensive experience in organising large conferences and meetings for the public sector including the Department of Education and Training.

Edwina graduated from the University of Sydney 2003, with a Bachelor of Liberal Studies, - majoring in Psychology, French and Italian.

Edwina's award winning capacity to obtain results for Government organisations as well as private industry provides strategic leadership second to none.


Julia Vernon
Project Manager

Julia brings a wealth of national and international meetings expertise to her role as Project Manager. Her operational and logistic management skills have been highlighted through her involvement in some of arinex's award winning events with particular strengths in the management of complex scientific programs, venue management and onsite procedures.

Julia's knowledge of the intricacies and unique requirements of annual medical meetings has been developed through her key involvement with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists Annual Scientific Meeting and the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand.  

Julia's impeccable organisational skills and her ability to develop strong relationships with clients make her the ideal manager to work on the most complex programs.


Jason Avery
Project Manager

Having worked for 8 years within the event management industry, Jason is well versed in both venue and project management. Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Multidisciplinary Science, Jason is also able to navigate within the world of academia, especially as it relates to scientific programs. This conglomeration of skills has resulted in strong operational and logistical skills which when used in conjunction with his creative experience, will surely add value to any event.

Jason is a warm and personable manager who excels at forming fantastic relationships with our clients


Luke Davis
Project Manager

Luke has accumulated a wealth of experience in a range of different client industries and professions. His strength lies in the complex operational and logistic management of conferences; particularly venue liaison, supplier negotiation, speaker management and onsite procedures.

He has worked closely with clients across a variety of fields, including the Dietitians Association of Australia, the Australasian Menopause Society and the International Association of Colour.

Luke graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney with a Bachelor of Management in Tourism and joined arinex in 2006.

Luke is a popular manager with clients and has developed a reputation for excellent delivery and building strong and lasting relationships.


Margaret Maling
Project Manager

Margaret brings to arinex an extensive background in venue management, event operations, food and beverage, hotels, solid negotiation skills and effective staff management/development. Her most recent success was the 33rd Australian Dental Congress & Exhibition 2009 which was attended by over 1900 delegates.

Margaret has a Diploma in Business Marketing with a Major in Event Management.  

Margaret is a committed and dedicated Project Manager who ensures a successful conference is delivered for all her clients.


Matthew Monaghan
Project Manager

Matthew Monaghan

Matthew has a wealth of experience in conference and events management spanning nearly a decade. With event and project management experience across the health, aged care, sustainability and not-for-profit sectors, Matthew has acquired the knowledge and approach to 'think outside the square' and deliver innovative, creative and sustainable events. Having delivered many national and international conferences, Matthew's clients also benefit from his strong financial management, supplier negotiation and venue liaison skills. Matthews holds tertiary qualifications in marketing, events management and management. Matthew also holds a certificate in training and assessment.

Matthew is passionate about all aspects of project management from conceptualisation and programming through to execution and delivery and his warm and positive approach fosters long-term client relationships..


Rebecca Russell
Project Manager

With 15 years experience in the events industry including working for a number of high profile companies including a successful AFL Club, Australian F1 Grand Prix, the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre and a leading Australian Exhibition Company, Rebecca has the experience and knowledge to manage a wide range of events.

Rebecca is renowned for her strong operational and organisational skills, providing flawless project management. She has been with arinex since March 2006 and is a senior member of the Conference Organising Team.

Rebecca prides herself on her attention to detail and strong time management skills, which ensures all aspects of your event are organised in a timely manner. This gives you the confidence to enjoy the journey with the knowledge your event is in good hands.
